4. How We Share Your Information
A. With Your Co-ownership Group
Information shared within your group:
- All group members see: Names, contact info, contribution amounts, ownership percentages, property preferences, documents you share, group messages
- You control what you share, don’t upload sensitive information you don’t want group members to see
You are responsible for deciding what to upload or share.
B. With Service Partners
Licensed Realtors:
- Contact information, property preferences, transaction details
- Governed by your Buyer Representation Agreement
Law Firms:
- Information necessary for legal services (co-ownership agreements, corporate formation)
- Information uploaded by users to the Ounits platform will be kept strictly confidential and will not be disclosed to any outside party, except: (i) to Ounits’s own legal counsel for internal due diligence or compliance purposes; (ii) to licensed professionals directly connected to your transaction, as necessary to facilitate closing; or (iii) where Ounits is legally compelled to disclose pursuant to a court order or equivalent legal obligation.
Financial Services:
- Certain information uploaded or provided by users, including information related to mortgage applications, credit checks, and fund transfers, may be subject to disclosure requirements imposed by applicable regulatory bodies. Ounits will only disclose such information to the extent required to comply with applicable federal or provincial law, regulatory obligation, or the lawful request of a regulatory authority with jurisdiction over such matters.
